Work Permits
Applying for a Work Permit
In order to receive an Illinois Work Permit you must:
- Already have a job offer
- Secure a Letter, on company letterhead stating the position being hired for and how many hours a week you will be working
- Complete the Work Permit Application
Bring these items to the Kaneland High School main office. Once these items are received the work permit will be processed and a hard copy will be delivered to the student in class. (If a student is a remote learner, this can be completed via email).
To receive or re-new a model/actor Work Permit you must:
- Complete the Work Permit Application
- Provide a copy of the students birth certificate
- Provide a letter of intent from the agency you are working with
- Provide a signed physician’s statement on the physician’s or health institution’s letterhead indicating based on an examination performed within one year of the date or work permit application, the child is physically fit to be employed in all legal occupations.
